Mahtomedi Liquor Barrel

     I would like to thank Eric for letting me post his Mahtomedi Liquor Barrel on my blog.  Eric has always come through when we are looking for something.

     Eric and his wonderful wife hosts fantastic wine tastings.  They are reasonably priced tastings, and present fantastic wines from all over the world in an educational and FUN atmosphere with fantastic prices.  I thank my friends Bill and Judy for introducing my wife and I to Erics wine tastings.

Why a wine blog?

     Maybe because it was the first drink I could have.  A little wine with a meal out with my Uncle and Aunt.  Maybe because it is so prevalent and world aged.  Maybe because it's a great excuse for friends to get together.   Maybe because it's healthy for you in moderation.  Maybe because I believe there is more to it than the snobbery that is sometimes actual or perceived.  Maybe because it presents a huge range of tastes and abilities to come together.  The person that enjoys a very dry red can sit down with one whom enjoys a candy sweet wine.  They both enjoy wine but have different tastes, and that's ok.  There's the person that has a full wine cellar with tasting room, and all the high tech equipment, to the couple in a one room flat that has a 3 bottle rack on the table.  They both enjoy wine!!

     Yes, it's all of that and more!!  But mainly because, people gather and share over a glass of wine.
